| Rick built this paving and drainage project for the City of Orlando while working as an estimator and project manager for Girdley Construction in the early 1980's. The project's only challenges were the time frame which was 30 days and the maintenance of traffic in that we could not close International Drive. This project consisted of installing 2 turn lanes on International Drive. This entailed clearing and grubbing of the existing median, soil stabilization, drainage piping and structures, roadway base materials and asphalt pavement. Again the project was completed on time on budget.
